Overview of role:
The Operations Manager will be instrumental in designing and implementing operational procedures and technology to deliver client needs. Initially the role will be "hands on" during the early stages of the project, but as the team grows the role will evolve to support a small team to deliver on the project.
Allocate qualified contractors to tasks and schedules for key clients, managing "talent -to-task" operations at volume.
Monitor and adjust resources at short notice in response to operational changes.
Book flights, hotels, and any other travel requirements in the most commercially effective way ensuring project deadlines are met.
Ensure visas and any other entry requirements are met in line with project deadlines.
Work closely with the recruitment team to ensure all contractor records are updated accurately as required to meet operational, commercial and industry-specific requirements.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and undertake and ad hoc project work to support the business and its growth.
Skills, experience and personal qualities:
Minimum of 5 years experience in managing and co-ordinating resources, recruitment, travel or scheduling- ideally with a working knowledge of vetting/screening and international travel requirements.
Sound commercial understanding.
Experience working for a multi-national company preferred.
Experience of growing and leading a team.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Sharepoint.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
An understanding of the Private Security Industry would be an advantage.
